Like To Do

What do you like to do? - video transcript

Girl 1

I play in the play area and we take our dog for a run.

Man 1

You’ve got the maze, you’ve got the play area, you've got the lakes, you can ride you bikes a lot. Just the wide-open space really.

Woman 1

I run, so morning jogs, and also the gym, and tennis.

Man 2

And Tennis. I use it for tennis, squash and basically a few runs around the park as well.

Man 3

Time out, just time out. Especially to relax and slow-down.

Woman 2

Well my son does a lot of sport and when he was little I would just come here for a walk. Nowadays just for him to go swimming, play basketball and just walking around, like today. It’s nice on a Sunday.

Man 4

It’s meant a number of things. It’s been a park for training in, a park for leisure and now we have a child it's a family park.

Man 5

Just spending some time looking at the views. Looking back over London or down over Croydon.

Woman 3

The grandchildren come up and we take a look at the dinosaurs. The café's nice.

Girl 2

We have races up the hill.

Man 6

The park’s very important to me because I think it’s a wonderful area for all kinds of activities. There is also the historical interest if you go the museum about Crystal Palace.

Man 7

The park means fresh air, activities, nature, communication with nature-birds, those sorts of things.

Man 2

It's nice and tranquil. You can come out of London, well you are still in London, and it’s still a very big park-nice and green. You feel like you are getting away from it.

Man 5

Because it’s such a diverse park, you go around the corner and there’s a different view to look at. It’s just a really nice place to be.

Woman 4

Walking around it on a regular basis, you can’t spoil the trees.

Man 4

We use the play area and then, next to that, obviously, there is the dinosaur park which my seven year old absolutely loves.
